The Huawei P50 Pocket will be unveiled on December 23 and the company has already confirmed that it will be a foldable flip; we even got to see the fancy design on the back. Today, Harper’s Bazaar, the world-famous fashion magazine, posted photos of the phone from multiple angles on Weibo, held by Guan Xiaotong, a Chinese actress and singer.
The images confirm the double-circle design where the first ring houses three cameras and a single LED, while the second is actually a small screen for AOD, notifications, and selfies.
The Huawei P50 Pocket will clearly be a device for fashionistas and an attempt to snatch some of the market share from the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3. The phone’s selling point will be its form factor, which means specs like the chipset and HarmonyOS 2.0 will matter less to its potential buyers.
Speaking of specs and features, we still don’t know anything, but we have a suspicion of a Snapdragon 888 chipset without a 5G modem. The camera trio will likely be a main + ultra-wide + portrait combo, with no fancy sensors behind it. The foldable display inside is likely a BOE panel, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Samsung bring an OLED to the table if the phone does so abroad.
