MediaTek has put forward its latest (or, some might say – very first) flagship chipset, the Dimension 9000, recently – comparing it to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, benchmarking in AI-related tasks, and other similar feats.
It really looks like a front-end competitor to Qualcomm’s latest and greatest, and phone makers have noticed it too – so far, Oppo, Redmi, vivo and Honor all confirmed that they were working on handsets incorporating the Dimensity 9000.
And now we can add another name to the list, rather unsurprisingly, to be honest. We mean Realme. The brand used the Dimensity 1200, MediaTek’s previous high-end offering, so it’s no shock to us that they also want a piece of the Dimensity 9000 stock. It’s unclear at this time which device Realme is planning. to launch with the Dimensity 9000, but Realme CMO Xu Qi Chase has apparently confirmed the news on Weibo.
Since the Find X4 is rumored to ship with the Dimensity 9000 and the Find X4 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, dare to suggest that since Realme GT 2 Pro will have the best of Qualcomm, the non-Pro GT 2 could use MediaTek’s darling instead? Let’s see what’s going on.
