The Uprising Rage of Digital Marketing in Politics of Bihar – India

Since COVID 19, Digital Campaigning has gathered an additional priority during the Assembly Election of Bihar, 2020. Since, every small Party like Lok Janshakti Party, Jan Adhikar Party to big Parties like RJD, JDU, & BJP all made efforts to target the audience on Whatsapp, Twitter, & Facebook.

In a small talk with Anshu Dikshant, Founder of Achievers IT Solutions & Digital Marketing Trainer in Bihar witnessed that, during the 2020 elections, that took place in the light of COVID 19, BJP launched some specific campaigns like Harega Corona, Jitega Bihar & Atmanirbhar Bihar, & bagged the digital campaigns due to some of its preeminent leaders on social media with their own pages.

However, one of the major beddings of BJP for being the front-runner in Digital Campaigns during Bihar Assembly was the 2014 Lok Sabha Election in which the party implemented the undefeated marketing and branding campaign, Said Anshu Dikshant.

Giving light to this, the Bhartiya Janata Party envisaged brand BJP & confined invincible fame by capturing the public’s support.

According to Anshu, getting ahead in the year, 2019, where the role of social media took the rapid growth & has made a précised impact on elections, Mr. Narendra Modi, the leader of Bhartiya Janata Party & the Prime Minister of India, resisted the accusations of Corruptions made by Indian National Congress, through the Chowkidar Campaign.

Anshu Dikshant made us aware of the fact that, in the year 2019, when Rahul Gandhi the leader of INC, put the allegation (Chowkidar Chor Hai) directing to Narendra Modi, it was then, when Modi Govt, started campaigning mainly on Twitter, by emphasizing the phrase “Main Bhi Chowkidar”.

Now, coming back to COVID 19, many prominent leaders of Bihar, like Nitish Kumar, Pappu Yadav, Sushil Kumar Modi, Ram Vilas Paswan, Lalu Yadav, along with many other leaders started campaigning Digitally, when social Distancing Came into the frame in 2020.

While Anshu Dikshant, who has closely worked on Digital Campaigns for different parties, also stated that, the public meetings & rallies have gone online in the wake of COVID 19, the political leaders of Bihar & other states have accepted Social influencing as a new normal & have also stared hosting live chat sessions with different district-level workers.

Due to the increase in Internet users and the expansion of the digital budget, the country is fully prepared for the online struggle. The most engrossing thing that comes in the way is Bihar has cataloged a swift growth in Internet users across both rural as well as urban areas.

More than 50 percent of Bihar’s population is between the ages of 25 to 30, hence, digital campaigns will be the most valuable way to reach out to the audience of Bihar, Anshu added.

With that being said, the most leading platforms for the upcoming Bihar Elections will be Facebook, Whatsapp, & Instagram. The live programs of Facebook & Instagram will be adding more benefits.

Finally, in his last words, Anshu Dikshant said, Digital Marketing has created a trend and has made a wide impact on Elections by aiding in advertising & campaigning through Social Media Platforms.
