Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming gets regulatory approval in China


The Xiaomi Redmi sub-brand is tip to launch the Redmi K50 series in February 2022. We haven’t heard much about Redmi’s K50 range yet, but it looks like development is progressing as expected since the Redmi K50 Gaming was approved by a regulatory authority in China.

The Redmi K50 Gaming, would have code name “Matisse” and having the model designation L10, it is said to arrive with a Dimensity 9000 SoC. It would also have a 64MP triple / quad camera setup or 108MP triple / quad camera system and would be launched under the Poco F4 GT name in some markets.

The Redmi K50 Gaming is expected to be joined by a vanilla K50, K50 Pro and K50 Pro +, powered by the Dimensity 7000, Snapdragon 870 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, respectively.

We also expect the Redmi K50 series run MIUI 13 out of the box, with some models bring fingerprint reader back to screen. In addition, there are also rumors about the K50 range to come with 100W load and IP68 dust and water resistance, but we’re unlikely to see them on all models.
